The problem in this video was finding a squirrel proofed bird feeder, because he kept buying ones that said are squirrel proof but they were not and the squirrels got throw all of them. Even when he bought a more advanced technological one that had spring that pulls down guard to block the food area from squirrels because they weigh heavier than birds, they sill managed to go through it. I wouldn’t say it was solved because the team only built an obstacle course for them to test their abilities and see how the squirrels can adapt to the process quickly. However, at the end they set up a squirrel feeder but that doesn’t stop the squirrels from eating from the bird feeder too.  If I was them I would make the cover of the bird feeder harder to open for the squirrels so maybe putting glue on it so its harder for them to open and see if it is a successful way, also I would set up a squirrel feeder like the one they set up at the end of the video after the took out the obstacle course away because as they see that the bird feeder is harder to access they will just learn to automatically avoid the bird feeder and approach the squirrel feeder right away. This video relates to our assignment by how the youtuber figured that he has a problem and tried a couple of solutions, which is what we are going to do. We are supposed to find a problem and together as a team try to find the best way to stop that problem, which is by having a bunch of trials for each of our solution and figuring out which one limits the problem or stops completely. 

Description:

This assignment was an example shown to us to symbolize what we were going to do. For this assignment we watched a video about a guy trying to find a solution to avoid the squirrels from eating from the bird feeder. He tried many solutions however at the end he came very close to finding one but unfortunately he didn’t. Which was similar to us, we were supposed to find a problem and try to find the solution for it, for our engineering assignment.
